Rest in Peace...

My Grandma on my dads side passed away today... Im kind of like in a shock... I dont really know how to feel. I mean I am very sad she passed away. I barely knew her though... I wish so badly I could have gotten to know her better... :( I wish I was really close with my grandparents. I wish I could have been close with her, heard all her stories and favorite memories. I'll never be able to know them now... I'm going to miss her...

Im really worried about my dad and my Grandpa also. They are taking it really hard right now. Please keep them in your prayers. Thanks so much.

Sincerly, Cheryl

This song is dedicated in loving memory to my sweet Grandma, Rest in Peace... Love you.

So Im never getting my hair cut again, only my bangs. I went to get my hair cut on Saturday, and say to her, keep the length. Then I show her a picture of how I want it cut, and she ends up cutting off 5inches or more, and the hair cut she gives me looks nothing like the pictures I showed her. Yeah... I was majorly upset. Cried for the whole day, no joke. It took me a year to grow my hair out that long, and I was waiting to get it cut for that specific hair cut. I was depressed the other day, now Im very mad and bitter. Im stuck with this hair cut that I HATE. *sigh*

Me and my mom have been trying to find a good place to go camping, sadly barely any places have flushing toilets or showers. I mean I dont really mind roughing it out for a couple days with now showers as long as we have water, but my mom insists on haveing showers availible. Sooo... its not going well trying to find a Good camp site with showers, and that has pretty scenery and hiking and all that jazz. Im so ready to get out of Piedmont though. It will be nice to get away for a bit, from work and from this awful heat. I want to spend some time just in nature and have just peaceful quiet time with God.

I decided Im going to start story boarding for Cloud Keepers. Its going to be hard, but seriously, Cloud Keepers has just been sitting in my room for ever, Ive barely worked on the story at all. It needs a lot of work and brain storming. I need to develop all the characters info, personalitys, and all that jazz. So, Im going to try and work on that every day. Ive been reading and trying to do more research over how Miyazaki does story boarding too. Did you know, Nasica of the Valley of the Wind was actually the first moive Miyazaki wrote and screenplayed?? I didn't. D: also his first degree he got was in political science and economics. Weird right? what a different career he ended up choosing. :D I hope some day I can follow my dreams like he did. :)

Have you lost your creativity?

Hello everyone, I was reading a new post from one of the blogs I follow and it was so inspiring and important I had to share it with you all in case you were feeling the same as myself. Here is the link. :) The Sea of Fertility It should be the first post entitled Creative.

So this post really stuck out to me a lot, it was exactly what I have been going through and needing help with.
Lately when I would want to draw, I'd grab a pencil and paper, but then when Id go to draw I'd just stare at the white piece of paper and imeadietly go blank and have no idea what to draw. And then I've just been drawing the same things or similar things over and over again latley. They haven't been new, fresh, or inspiring. Just boring drawings that I don't think are any good. :( I've been feeling no inspiration, and drawing has not been as fun anymore either... :( And when I was a kid I loved to draw so much, Id draw almost the whole day and never get bored or feel uninspired. Looking back on my old art it felt more alive and free, now my art feels dull and constricted. Nancy is so right though, looking to other artists for inspiration really helps! I tried to do that today and I have a lot more inspiration to draw new things! I'm going to try harder to get out of my drawers block, and find inspiration, creativity, and a love to draw again. ^_^

Sincerely Cheryl. ^_^

Looking for Inspiration

Hey guys, so this morning I was browsing some other blogs I follow to find something new and that inspired me, and I'm happy to say I found several things, that I'd love to share with you. ^_^ The first one was a new band I found. Its called Wolves at the Door They have a really interesting music style, and at first I wasn't sure how I felt about their music, but the more I listened to it, the more it grew on me. :) Its very laid back and relaxing feeling. Its almost sounds a bit like folk music mixed with a haunting feel, mixed with like an old time feel. If that makes sense. 0_o any way! You should check them out! They are pretty good! :D

Next I found this really awesome site that has all sorts of helpful tutorials for makeing cute vintage designs and such on the computer. Sadly I cant really make any of these things since I dont have photoshop T^T, but still it inspires me to try and make some of these things by hand out of paper, and also to just eventually save up for photoshop. ^^ A lot of the tutorials are so cute! This is a great site for people in Graphic design too! (winks at Meghan. haha! you will love this site! ;)
Pugly Pixel

Best of luck!! today Im going to make some fun vintage things! I'll post another blog later with pics of the things I made. ^-^

If we were children, I'd bake you a mud pie. :3

Its monday. Lazy, warm, and quiet. Going to work soon. I tried drawing today. Im rusty, like major rusty. 0.0 my lines look harsh, rough, and messy. Ohhh wells, I tell myself, dont over think when you draw and have fun; be creative and draw what ever you want, dont worry about it looking bad, cause then it wont be fun anymore. So I took a shot at drawing what ever. It didn't turn out good, but acleast I tried. haha. :) TnT this weekend. Im looking forward to it. I am most excited for the rave, ball, and artists alley, and I will be wearing Lolita for the first time at a Con. :3 yay! Hope everyone is doing ok and staying cool! its been in the 100's every day in Oklahoma. Past couple days its been up to 110 degrees! X_X my poor garden is getting crispy... T^T sadness... Well I'll cut this short, by saying hope you have a Happy Monday! Love Cheryl. ^.^

Here is some beautiful art that really inspires me. :3
